Happy Labor Day

Hope you all have a great Labor Day holiday. It's raining here, but that hasn't stopped me from grillin' and chillin'. But it has made me reflect a little on this holiday. In particular, it makes me happy to think that we celebrate Labor Day on the first Monday of September in order to commemorate some Canadian labor parade, while the rest of the world celebrates Labor Day (or, rather, "Labour Day") on May 1, to commemorate the Chicago Pullman strike. (Or the Chicago Haymarket Riot, depending on who you ask. Probably the Haymarket Riot, since that was a little earlier.). Anyway, whoo hooo, Chicago!

In the United States, of course, May 1 is "Loyalty Day." Take that, you internationalist commie pinkos!
